No time to make it to the Caribbean? We’ve got you covered. Jamaican Jerk chicken – a well-seasoned grilled chicken with a Jamaican Jerk marinade that has the perfect balance of heat, sweet and savoury. You’ll want to make this all year round!
- Tip: Make-Ahead: You can marinate (steps 1 & 2) the chicken in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours.
1. Add Dry Jerk
Clean the chicken and apply the dry seasoning to the clean chicken meat.
2. Add Wet Jerk
Apply the wet marinade to the chicken and let it soak for at least 1 hour.
3. Add Jerk Sauce
Grill the chicken over a medium-hot fire, turning occasionally, until well-browned and cooked through, 35 to 40 minutes (depending on what chicken parts you’re using). Cover the grill for a smokier flavour. Transfer the chicken to a platter and serve it with the 123Jerk! Sauce. The Jerk sauce is great for dipping chicken. You can also use the Jerk sauce to make a delicious gravy.
