Jerk Beef in 3 Steps | Recipe

Fire up the grill…you are going to love the big, bold flavour of the beef meat that is marinated with 123Jerk, the Jamaican jerk seasoning. It’s simple, delicious, and guaranteed to be a hit!

  • Tip: Make-Ahead: You can marinate (steps 1 & 2) the beef in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours.

1. Add Dry Jerk

Clean the beef and apply the dry seasoning to the meat.

2. Add Wet Jerk

Apply the wet marinade to the beef meat and let it soak for at least 1 hour.

3. Add Jerk Sauce

Grill the beef over a medium-hot fire, turning occasionally, until cooked to your liking. Find advice on cooking times for steak below:

We also recommend the following cooking time for a 2cm steak:

  • Blue: 1 min each side
  • Rare: 1½ mins per side
  • Medium rare: 2 mins per side
  • Medium: about 2¼ mins per side
  • Well-done steak: cook for about 4-5 mins each side, depending on the thickness

Cover the grill for a smokier flavour. Transfer the beef to a platter and serve it with the 123Jerk! Sauce. The Jerk sauce is great for dipping beef. You can also use the Jerk sauce to make a delicious gravy.
